Hugh has a B.Sc in Optometry and is a Fellow of the British College of Optometrists, he currently has two Optometric practices in the Glasgow area.

Hugh has 30 years experience of martial arts, particularly Karate, Tae Kwon-Do, Judo, Brazillian JiuJitsu. He has an interest in D.B.M. and N.L.P. (certified to Trainer level) and the use of these in personal development, martial arts coaching and practice.

Hugh is interested in the links between different martial arts, and the basic principles which are common within different martial arts.
